I always wanted to have an oline mangareader for my ereader so I finally decided to make one.
Although the app is far from finished it is finally at an usable state so I present to you the UltimateMangaReader
It allowes you to read you favorite manga on your reader directly without the hassle of downloading and converting mangachapters manually, downloading images on the fly as you are reading.
Some of its current features:
In the future I might add an offline mode.
How to install:
Make sure you have sergeyvl12's KoboLauncher installed and running on you device, you can find it here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=201632
Copy the contents of the release zip file (ultimatemangareader.sh and the folder ultimatemangareader) to the folder /.kobo/vlasovsoft on your device.
Open the file /.kobo/vlasovsoft/applications.ini and add the following line at any position:
Ultimate Manga Reader = ultimatemangareader.sh
You can find the source @ https://github.com/Rain92/UltimateMangaReader
I could only test it with my Aura One so the layouts migt be off on other devices.
Feedback or contributions are welcome
Changelog:
v0.6: add support for jaiminisbox.com
v0.7: add battery indicator icon, layout improvements and bugfixes
Displays a clock on the screen. Powered by NiLuJe's fbink tool.
To install, copy KoboRoot-MiniClock-*.tgz » .kobo/KoboRoot.tgz
To uninstall, set uninstall=1 in .addons/miniclock/miniclock.cfg
Check .addons/miniclock/miniclock.example.cfg for customization options (rename the example file to miniclock.cfg to be effective.)
Ideally the clock should update on the minute (update=60) however, while reading books, Kobo freezes background tasks so it might not update and lag behind, until you flip the page or otherwise interact with the screen.
Update 2018-11-05: now with nightmode and truetype support
Update 2018-11-17: changed how the delay option works for more fine-grain control. added padding option to get rid of visual fragments in truetype mode.
Update 2018-11-23: add user-translatable {day}, {month}. Also optional {battery} 0-100%.
Cloud service support for Kobo v0.2
Installation
Copy the KoboRoot.tgz archive in the .kobo directory of your reader (it is a hidden directory, so you might want to enable the visualization of hidden files) and restart your Kobo.
Configuration
After restarting, plug your kobo back into the computer. Navigate to the .kobo directory. A new kobocloud directory should have appeared. Inside, edit the file kobocloudrc to add the links to the cloud services (one per line).
Notice: No subdirectories are supported at the moment, so be sure that your books are all in the same directories that you are sharing.
Nextcloud (Owncloud)
To add a nextcloud (owncloud) link, open your nextcloud website in a browser and select the folder that you want to share. Click on "Share" and select "Share with link". Copy the link into the kobocloudrc file.
Please note that you need a recent Nextcloud version. Owncloud is at the moment not tested, but should also work.
Dropbox
To add a Dropbox link, open your dropbox in a browser. Select the folder that you want to share and click "Share" and "Send link". Copy the link that appears into the kobocloudrc file.
Usage
The new files will be downloaded when the kobo connects to the Internet for a sync.
Troubleshooting
KoboCloud keeps a log of each session in the .kobo/kobocloud/get.log file. If something goes wrong, useful information can be found there. Please send a copy of this file with every bug report.
Known issues
No subdirectories are supported
Support of Google Drive can be considered if there is demand
